At Domaine Homes, we prioritise the wellbeing of our customers, employees, contractors and their families. As part of the Clarendon Group, our passion for home building has never wavered and although we are focused on proceeding with business as usual, we have been advised to put a pause on construction from the 19th July.

We recognise that this is a very difficult time and want to assure you that we are still here.

Our Updates

Resumption of Construction on Unoccupied Sites

While the response to COVID-19 is constantly evolving, we were reassured by the decision made by the NSW Government to allow the recommencement of construction on unoccupied building sites across Greater Sydney, including those located in local government areas (LGA’s) and suburbs of concern.

 

All sites must comply with new limits on worker numbers and workers from the LGA’s and suburbs of concern must meet the authorised construction worker vaccination requirements.

Some Delays are Expected

We will make every effort within our control to minimise disruption as we proceed with the commencement of construction for your home. However, we anticipate that there will be delays in rescheduling and resuming works, particularly as many of our trades reside within the restricted LGA and therefore unable to travel to worksites.

While we will make every effort to minimise the impact this will have on completing your home, we anticipate there will be delays in rescheduling and resuming works.

It is important to know, the resumption of construction works will be subject to restrictions imposed on worksites as part of the new COVID-19 Safety Plan construction checklist which mandates COVID-19 Safe practices on sites to keep workers and the community safe.

These mandated COVID-19 Safety Plan practices improve the measures many of the state’s construction sites already had in place, ensuring consistency right across the sector including general controls to minimise the number of people and trades on sites, and restrictions of movement to name a few.
